Tecmo Koei Europe has revealed the UK exclusive pre-order bonus for the forthcoming Cross Edge. Set to launch on 18th September 2009, Cross Edge is a PlayStation 3 exclusive release from NIS America, brought to European shores courtesy of those good people at Tecmo Koei Europe.

            Cross Edge promotes a selection of characters from a number of fighting and Role-Playing Game publishers, including Capcom, Bandai Namco, NIS America and Idea Factory. Players will find themselves transported to an atmospheric land created from souls gathered form other worlds. You and your kind are souls in their true form, others have not been so lucky, and have been transformed into demonic creatures along the way. As more souls are stolen your world begins to disappear – changing beyond all recognition into a land ruled by monsters and their evil masters. You must help those who remain to save the world as you know it, before it’s too late.

            That such an obscure title is receiving a European release should not be sniffed at – many a offbeat title such as Cross Edge have previously not made it to those shores, and so PlayStation 3 owning longtime gamers will no doubt jump at the chance to involve themselves in such a fantastical vision with stars from across the fighting fantasy spectrum. And doing so early will net you a special bonus.

            Pre-ordering Cross Edge at GAME will earn you a pack of six limited edition Cross Edge postcards, featuring some fantastic artwork for a number of your favourite characters. The infamous Morrigan from the Darkstalkers series Features prominently, as would be expected, but many more characters are also set to appear in this finely detailed artwork.

            Cross Edge is set to launch on PlayStation 3 in the UK on 18th September.
